We recently created sixty greeting cards in two workshops at Aberdeen Heights. The cards will be sent to a nonprofit organization, Cards For Soldiers, to be distributed to deployed soldiers. Each soldier will receive a package with one “Thank You” card for them plus four decorated, but blank, cards that they may send to family or friends in the USA.
The workshops provided a service opportunity for our residents to use their time, talents, creativity, and resources for others. We plan to have monthly workshops to continue this worthy project and the fellowship it provides.
